Secure Vehicle Handling
From the moment your vehicle arrives at our Houston facility to the moment we hand the keys back to you, we apply professional handling standards that protect your investment at every step. Secure vehicle handling is not a single procedure — it is a discipline that runs through every phase of our operation.
When a vehicle arrives at Fresh Paint — whether driven in locally or delivered by enclosed carrier — it goes through a formal receiving inspection. We photograph every existing condition, document all damage, note any pre-existing marks or mechanical issues, and log the vehicle into our tracking system. This intake record protects both you and our shop, and it becomes the baseline against which we document completed work. You receive a copy of the receiving inspection at the start of your project.
During the restoration process, every vehicle is stored in our secure, covered facility — not in an outdoor lot or an open staging area. Classic cars, vehicles with fresh bodywork, and in-progress restorations are particularly vulnerable to environmental damage: a single hailstorm, a parking lot scratch from another vehicle, or exposure to industrial fallout can undo careful surface preparation work. Our facility keeps every project protected from intake through final delivery.
Handling procedures inside the shop are equally deliberate. We use panel protection film on completed body surfaces before surrounding work continues, keep finished interior components protected during mechanical work, and maintain clear vehicle routing paths to prevent contact damage. Any vehicle moved within the shop is moved by trained staff using designated rolling equipment — nothing gets pushed by hand across the floor in a way that risks body contact with a workbench or another vehicle.
For long-distance customers who cannot inspect their vehicle in person during the project, we provide detailed photographic updates at each major milestone — receiving, disassembly, metalwork, primer, color, and final assembly. These updates give you a clear, visual record of the work as it progresses and the confidence of knowing exactly what is happening with your vehicle. At delivery or shipping, we perform a full outbound inspection and document the completed condition of every surface before your vehicle departs our care.
